The MacGregor Family Adventures is a widely acclaimed series for kids in fifth through 8th grade with interest to 11th. Accelerated Readers & Scholastic Reading Counts! has tests for all of them. Many of Richard Trout’s fans follow his novels from grade school to college. The novels are unique in that each has an historical prologue that sets the stage for action and intrigue. Each new exciting location leads to a new adventure to save the planet from death and destruction. The father in the family is a zoologist and the mother a British paleontologist. This site tells about each member of the family and a brief synopsis of each novel.

To learn about Richard Trout after you finish this site, go to www.richardtrout.com. There you will find details about how he can come to your school or club and WOW them about the action adventure novels he writes.

The MacGregor Family Adventure Series was originally planned for just three novels. However, since families have found them fun, exciting, and suspenseful, and in demand, author Richard Trout will take the series to 12 or 15 adventures. Novel #7 is in the works and will be published in late summer 2009. The author’s goal is then to produce a new adventure every 9 months. Have fun reading!
